Is The Blade MCX2 RC Helicopter Really That Good?

Remote control (RC) helicopters are a hobby of many people, especially men who are unable to stop the addiction to theses fun machines. Well, the fun is just about to increase since once more, Horizon Hobby, the manufacturers of RC helicopters have outdone themselves and come up with a refinement of the original mCX. Meet the sensational Blade mCX2 RC Helicopter!
This is a micro coaxial RC helicopter designed to really double up your indoor fun (it is small in size and flying it outside will not be a good idea due to wind distraction). You can get either the RTF (ready to fly) or BNF (bind and fly) versions of this helicopter. The RTF is completely assembled in the factory and comes with its transmitter so you will not have to bind it. Just unpack and you can begin flying straight away. The BNF version however, requires that you first bind it to a transmitter before flying. The helicopter comes fitted with a five in one control unit that houses the servos, mixer, a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 compatible receiver and the main motor ESCs. Attached to the fuselage are LED lights that give it an extra amazing look.
Immediately after take-off, you will be amazed by the stability of the helicopter. It can hover completely hands-free and unlike older counter rotating helicopters, it has got some acrobatic capabilities too. You can do pirouettes comfortably and the gyro will maintain a constant rotation of the blades. Its sleek appearance and LED lights gives the pilot a better view of the helicopter and also makes flying the mCX2 even more fun especially in the dark.
The most interesting fact about the mCX2 is its durability. When it falls off the air, it is capable of taking a lot of punishment. You are allowed to make some mistakes using the Blade mCX2 RC Helicopter, you will inevitably hit walls, couches and tables, however, don't make it a habit if you plan to have fun with your mCX2 for a long time. In case you crash it, spare parts are not expensive and you can easily repair it even without much skill (it also comes with a small screwdriver to help you with the repairs)
Some people would think the mCX2 a bit expensive as compared to other RC helicopters. However, someone once told me that for cheap helicopters, the main aim is to not crash, while for the better quality ones, their goal is to fly. The initial cost should therefore not worry you as much as the maintenance cost.
I bet you are now wondering which one to get between the two versions i.e. RTF or BNF. If you have a working DSM2 transmitter, you can get the BNF version. However it would be recommendable to get the RTF since it comes along with a MLP4DSM transmitter that you can definitely use with other RC helicopters. Coupled with a 150mAh battery, be sure to get hours and hours of indoor entertainment from the Blade mCX2 RC Helicopter.
