Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console Review

Writing reviews is my enjoyment so I decided to check out the Xbox bundles. I'm always interested in saving money, so I wanted to look at the older (but still available to buy) Xbox bundles.
I've played video games before but I didn't pay much attention. I just figured they were all the same and that you should just buy according to price alone.
Turns out it's a complicated area so I decided to really take a long hard look so I could really delve into the particulars to buy the best game console on the market. After much consideration, I chose the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console.
Released in the Fall of 2009 to coincide with the release of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game, this Xbox bundle really caught on. Many people were surprised.
There have been several Xbox 360 Limited Edition consoles over the years:
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • The Dark Knight
  • Halo 3
  • Red Xbox 360
  • The Simpsons
Just to name a few. But none of them had a 250gb HDD. The Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition console is the only one to have this feature.
It also comes standard with a pair of regular Xbox 360 Elite controllers and it's branded with the Modern Warfare 2 logo etc. Very nice-looking design and awesome fun.
250GB Hard Drive
The 250 GB harddrive is great. One user reports having two older Xbox consoles with only a 20gb hard drive. He says that it was a struggle to find room on those tiny 20gb drives for new titles, videos, and mp3s.
Frequently there was no other choice than to simply delete the old stuff, even though it had already been paid for. There was just no room left on the 20gb drive.
After getting this console and transferring all the stuff from his 20gb drive, the Xbox 250gb HDD still had tons of room left on it. A bigger drive also makes gameplay go more smooth. It also helps to keep the noise down.
It's worth noting here that a data transfer kit is available for around $20 from Amazon.
Two Black Wireless Controllers
This Xbox360 console includes two black wireless controllers. They are battery operated. An Xbox 360 Charge Base is available for $24.99 from Amazon. Sleek black, it matches this console and the two black wireless controllers fit snugly into the charging base during recharging.
Having two controllers is good for families. Your kids won't have to fight over who gets to play next. Two can play at the same time.
COLOR (ALL BLACK)
This edition comes in all-black. The Modern Warfare 2 branding is very attractive. It has a military look - gun metal and camouflage styling throughout. Unlike other Xbox units it fits very nicely with the usual other all-black electronics you may have (e.g. large-screen TV, home theater sound system, cable television box, cable modem etc.)
CHIPSET/CPU
This Xbox uses the Jasper CPU on the unit's motherboard. It is smaller than previous CPUs used. It runs cooler, so your Xbox will use less electricity (more environmentally green friendly) plus last longer. The Red Ring of Death (RROD) problem is likely to be minimized if not eliminated completely. It also makes it quieter.
How Much Does It Cost?
It originally cost $399 - current prices start at $490. You're better off buying it used for around $250.
What's Included
  • 250GB HD
  • 2 Black Wireless Controllers
  • 1 Black Xbox 360 Wired Headset
  • Ethernet Cable
  • 1 Xbox 360 Composite A/V cable
Do You Get Any Warranty?
Yes, the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console warranty is one year.
What Others Say
This Xbox bundle got great reviews from buyers. It got 4.5 out of 5 from reviewers on Amazon.
These are some actual comments:
"Worth the money so far..."
"...if you do the "math", the bundle is a pretty good deal..."
"SIMPLY AMAZING!... HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME!"
"...having the game [Modern Warfare 2] and two controllers for me was the way to go..."
"I love this console, it runs smooth and i haven't had any problems..."
Any Negative Feedback From Buyers?
There are a few complaints for this Xbox bundle online. Someone said the controllers felt like cheap plastic but someone else said they're exactly the same as earlier Xbox controllers and they don't feel cheap at all.
Where Can You Buy the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Console?
You can buy this Xbox 360 Limited Edition Console from 3rd-party sellers via Amazon. It was introduced as a special bundle in Fall 2009.

Controllers? Where We're Going We Don't Need Controllers

Microsoft has finally confirmed plans to launch the company's motion sensing peripheral known as Project Natal this October 2010.
Project Natal is a code name for a "controller-free gaming and entertainment experience" by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform. What I don't get is shouldn't that be CFGAEE? Too bad that doesn't mean anything. Will have to work on that and get back to you.
So yeah the Xbox is basically taking the idea of wireless controllers with motion detection one step further and then some. Why bother with controllers at all?
Based on an add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller through a natural user interface using gestures, spoken commands or presented objects and images. The project is aimed at broadening the Xbox 360's audience beyond its typical gamer base and provide another dimension in entertainment when it was first announced at E3 in 2009. So if you were to kick you would actually have to kick, if you wanna reload your gun you need to do the reload motion. Using my super secret powers of foresight I predict more then a few bugs arising when this baby finally does come out.
Microsoft Saudi marketing manager Syed Bilal Tariq was asked when the device would be launching in Saudi Arabia and the marketing manager had replied that it would launch at the same time as the rest of the world.
Tariq also added that Microsoft would be in a position to confirm an exact date at E3 in June.
We can expect E3 will also announce a new, official, retail name for Project Natal in June. Maybe CFGAEE?

The Xbox Kinect And Sony Move Motion Controllers: A Great Gift Idea For Teens This Christmas

Looking for the most fantastic gift for your teen this Christmas? If so, why not consider one of the hottest holiday gifts for 2010: the latest and greatest in video game technology, the Xbox Kinect and PlayStation Move. These are new add-ons this year for the original consoles, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 respectively, resulting in new motion controlled gaming and extra fun for the entire family!
What Do The Kinect and Move Do?
With the technology being so new, it is a good idea to find out a little more about what these controllers actually do before considering buying them as gifts. The following gives an overview description:
Xbox 360 Kinect:The Kinect was first known as "Project Natal" and is designed without a controller. It actually senses movements (through a sensor bar) from your whole body to then control what's happening on the screen.
Sony PlayStation Move: Unlike the Xbox 360 Kinect, this does make use of a controller. However, it is extremely sophisticated and is able to sense a wide range of movements. It also makes use of a navigation controller with directional pad.
Both options work to create a new experience that simulates the player actually being 'in the game'. This means even the slightest movements are picked up. Even though it is similar to the Nintendo Wii, it goes much further.
Different Purchase Options
Should you be considering either of these motion sensors for the teen or tween in your life this Christmas, you will have several options from which to choose. If you already own the console, you can opt not to buy another one. That being the case, the Sony PlayStation Move costs in the neighborhood of $100, and the Kinect comes in at about $150.
You are also able to purchase the motion sensors alongside the consoles, to get an even bigger and better gift for your teen or tween. You will find two versions of the Xbox 360 & Kinect bundle available: $300 for the 4GB console and $400 for the 250GB version. If The 320GB PlayStation 3 & Move bundle is your choice, this comes in around $400.
Who Should You Buy The Kinect and Move For?
Both the Kinect and Move are aimed at seasoned as well as the casual gamers. In like manner to the Nintendo Wii, these motion controllers possess the capability to get anyone involved, no matter if they like playing video games or not. However, that being said, the Kinect is considered to be more family-oriented than the Move. Of course, that all depends on which console your recipient already owns. They'll also already need to have the console in order for these accessories to work.
Should You Buy The Kinect or Move?
Obviously, even though these are both technically classed as "controllers" or "accessories" for existing consoles, they don't come at a cheap price. Because they are a huge upgrade compared to previous technology, with the ability to completely change gaming as we know it, that also comes with a price tag to match.
That said, Kinect and Move are virtually guaranteed to provide hours of fun for your teens and tweens this Christmas. Even better than that, the whole family can join in! Just make sure that your teen either already has the relevant console, or be prepared to buy the console bundle alongside the controller.
With the economy more challenging than ever, we understand how important it is to get the best bang for your buck.  This Christmas, let us help you find just what you are looking for when it comes to giving your loved ones that something special without spending an arm and leg getting it.  That being the case, the Xbox Kinect and PlayStation Move will show your love without revealing your frugality.  Here at http://christmas-gift-ideas-4u.com that is what we are all about!

Living Wills

No one can foresee the problems that may arise should you become incapacitated and not able to communicate your thoughts or wishes. However, you can avoid unforeseen problems and negative consequences by creating a Living Wills.

Everyone should have a Living Will. With a Living Will you specify how you wish to be treated in case you are unable to make your own wishes known. Do you want to be kept on life support? Who do you want making that decision if you are unable to communicate? Questions like these are addressed in a living will so your family or the hospital does not make those decisions on your behalf.

When you do select someone to act on your behalf, they must meet the legal criteria in your state, be willing to speak up for you, be able to act on your preferences and not those of others, and be willing to make the hard decisions. They should also be someone you trust without hesitation who can also handle the conflicting opinions that usually occur between family members.

When you create a Living Wills you ensure that your desires will be carried out without court involvement that can be costly and stressful for your family. If you do become incapacitated and you do not have a Living Will, your family or your Doctors must bear the responsibility of deciding what should happen to you.

It is important that you set up the Living Will properly, as different states have different laws in dealing with such matters. A Living Will can be used in conjunction with a Health Care Power of Attorney to provide you with an Advanced Health Care Directive.

However sad, an example of when a Living Will would be used is if you become brain dead, you can state in your Living Will that you wish to receive or not to receive life support. A Living Will provides your medical team with instructions for how to carry out your wishes should you become incapacitated. There is a nice web site where you can receive a lot of good information to learn about Living Wills at www.livingwills4u.com

Remember, An Advanced Health Care Directive including a Living Will and a Health Care Power of Attorney are very important legal document that an attorney should always review.
